How to install Node JS and NPM on CentOS 6.4

To install Node JS on a CentOS machine we need to install the dependancy applications first and you should have root or sudo access for it.

Use su for root or login as root.

How to install Node JS

Download NoteJS’s packages

Extract it with the following command:

Finish installing it

Finally test if it works

You may now install npm and packages such as socket.io.
